Nareg's Recommendations (why?)

Meet Your Driller

My name is Nareg. I started bowling well into my thirties. After learning that a bowler could engineer their own equipment using some basic information, geometry, and theory, I became hooked. I believe customization is what creates an enduring interest in a sport that might otherwise seem repetitive, and it is obvious that many bowlers enjoy the process of designing and acquiring an arsenal of equipment as much as the time they spend on the lanes.

I have committed myself deeply to learning the science and engineering of this sport through exposure to whatever sources of knowledge I have found -- Blueprint's simulation software; Storm's excel calculators; 'Mo' Pinel's expositions; books by R. Johnson, M. Baker, and J. Freeman. I later designed my own calculators and used them to test expectations for various drilling layouts against actual outcomes. Experiences like this helped me to learn how release characteristics, coverstocks, cores, and drilling layouts interact to create ball motion on different oil conditions.

I want to offer the bowling community tools that I have developed through my learning process, including my programming for visualized drill sheets, visualized layouts; and eventually ball motion guides and calculators to estimate effective drilled differentials.

I will drill any equipment you order to your exact specifications. While I recommend the use of the 2LS drilling system and have programmed this website to use the same, I also understand PAL and Dual Angle and can accept drilling orders under alternative systems by e-mail.

Ask me about any equipment-related questions you have, by emailing info@nothumbbs.com !
